Nancy L. Martinez, 68, of Green Bay, passed away on April 26, 2024.
She was born on March 6, 1956 to Theodore and Patricia (Laes) Matuszewski in Green Bay. She graduated from Green Bay Southwest High School in 1974 and earned her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2013. Nancy retired as a childcare teacher at First Preschool and Daycare in March 2023 after spending over a decade working there.
On March 1, 2002, she married the love of her life, Javier Martinez. Nancy and Javier would often visit Texas to spend time with family there and a chance to get out of the cold for a little bit. She also loved going to the Dominican Republic as they would always try to go once a year. In earlier years, they would travel all over the Mid West to watch their children play youth hockey. They also enjoyed spending summers camping at Captain's Cove with their children and eventually turned into a tradition with the grandchildren too. Her family meant everything to her and loved when her children and grandchildren would come over for lunch on weekends. She was always finding a way to make sure she was present at all of her grandchildren's activities. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. She enjoyed playing bingo, ceramics and sewing. Nancy's happiest of memories are of enjoying margaritas on the beach.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Javier; her three children: Jason (Jill) Lambrecht, Sarah (Dennis) Roe and Jeff (Jenny) Lambrecht; eight grandchildren: Hannah and Ryley Lambrecht, Alexis, Sydney, Junior and Dakota Roe, Olivia and Easton Lambrecht; her mother, Patricia; her siblings: Rosemary (Rod) Specht, Tom (Wanda) Matuszewski, Don (Mary) Matuszewski and Marsha (Mike) Baeten; her in-laws, Enrique and Lucelva; and her brother-in-laws, Cesar (Sonia) Martinez and Enrique (Erika) Martinez.
She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore; her brothers, Mike and Tim; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
