Myron E. Phillips, 91, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2013
He was born in Sheboygan, WI to father, Edward and mother, Emma.
Myron served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre, as a B-24 aircraft commander. He flew 40 missions and was awarded the Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He retired with rank of Lt. Col.
Myron graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BBA degree in 1949.
Following graduation, he worked as an account executive in the field of industrial manufacturing, most recently for Storage Systems of Wisconsin. He retired in 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Geraldine; his sister, Mildred; three children, Jeffrey, Ellen (Donald) Doyle and Linda; and two granddaughters, Sarah Doyle and Katherine (Aaron) Benfante.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Everett.
Myron was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church of De Pere, and truly cherished his faith.
Friends may call from 10:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Hope Lutheran Church, 700 S. Superior St., De Pere. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am with Rev. Vern Heim officiating. Military honors will follow. Entombment will be at Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee at a later date.
