Morris (Butch) Seifert, age 71, of Freedom passed away Monday, November 30, 2015. Butch was born October 17, 1944, in Kewaunee to the late Erwin and Eleanore (Wiese) Seifert. He married Linda Nicoson on October 3, 1970, in North Prairie, WI.
Butch graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School and after graduation, he joined the Marine Reserves. Butch worked for Proctor and Gamble and also helped run the family farm in Sugarbush, which in 1970, he and Linda began the process of buying. Butch drove semi for many years and built up his own trucking company, Seifert Trucking, which has been taken over by his son, William.
Butch's greatest joy was his children and grandchildren, whom he loved to tease; and his love of his dogs, especially Brandy.
Butch is survived by his wife, Linda and his children, Amy (Chris) Tostrup, Steve (Katie) Seifert and William (Heather) Seifert, and grandchildren, Austin Tostrup, Jersey Tostrup, Stella Seifert, Scarlett Seifert, and Elliette (Ellie) Seifert. Butch is further survived by his brothers, Wayne (Judy) Seifert, Keith (Tarra) Seifert and Tom (Alice) Seifert; sister-in-law, Rebecca Dickert, and brother-in-law, Larry (Ruth Ann) Nicoson, nieces and nephews.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Karen & Ken Allen, his sister-in-law, Lora Kavanaugh, and a nephew Jeffrey Allen.
Friends may call from 10:00 – 12:15 pm, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 501 Howe St., Green Bay, WI. A funeral service will follow at the church at 12:30, with Reverend Dave Wilkinson and Rev. Rebecca Henry officiating.
Memorial funds have been established at New Life Methodist Church, Seymour and First United Methodist Church, Green Bay.
The family would like to thank the heart team at Bellin Hospital for trying so hard to keep Butch alive, especially Dr. Khalisy, who the family has known for many years when Linda was an employee of Bellin Health.
