Mitchell Joseph Luberda, 94, of Oneida, WI, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 10, 2022 surrounded by his wife, daughter, and family.
Mitch was born in Wisconsin on September 14, 1927 to John and Anna Luberda. He had the desire to see the world and decided to join the Army in 1943. Mitch enjoyed living in Korea, Japan, Guam, and France. Following the Army, Mitch joined the U.S. Air Force from which he retired, after 21 years, as a Master Sergeant.
Mitch lost his wife unexpectedly in 1998 and then married his high school sweetheart in 2000. He was a loved Father and Grandfather.
Mitch was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Bruno and Chester, sisters; Frances, Valentina, Jean and step daughter in law Ellen Baran..
He is survived by his wife Delores, daughter Lydie (Harry) Brogen, grandchildren; Travis and Andrea, great grandson; Noah Brogen and lots of nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his step-sons; Ken Baran and Jeff (Jackie) Baran and their son Chase, step-grandchildren; Kris (Dee) Baran, Allison (Jacob) Rivera, Melissa (Jesse) VanLaanen and their children Logan, Lauren and London.
Visitation for Mitch will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave. Green Bay, WI 54301) on Friday, September 23, at 6:00 and will be followed by a brief Celebration of Life at 6:45. Interment will take place at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
