Mildred B. Robinson, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2014, in Green Bay, WI. She was born on January 29, 1922, in Zelienople, Pennsylvania, to the late William and Amelia (Miller) Bloom. Mildred married Richard Robinson, they celebrated almost 50 years together before his passing on September 29, 1991.
Mildred was an accomplished quilter and made over 100 appliqué and patch quilts of various sizes, which she won a number of awards for. She was interested in interior decorating and drawing. In her earlier years, Mildred enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, baking, and most of all spending time with her family.
She was survived by her son, Jeffry Robinson; daughter, Marcia (Paul) McCollum; grandchildren, Julie (Roger) Brauser, Gregory (Ashley) Robinson, and James (Hannah) McCollum; cousin, Elnora "Norie" Freschkorn; and nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on May 16, 2014, at 11:00am, at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Zelienople, PA, with Rev. Wilfred Goetze officiating.
