Mildred M. Eland, 100, of Green Bay, beloved wife of the late Elmer C. Eland, departed this life on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Brookview Meadows Assisted Living.
Mildred was born on December 22, 1916, in Kewaunee, WI daughter of the late Walter and Amanda (Kohls) Barr. She was a graduate of Casco High School. She was employed as a Waitress for the original downtown Kroll's on Main Street. Mildred loved to take rides, and spending time up north in Thunder Lake. Most importantly she loved to spend time with her family, especially her kids, grandkids, great grandkids and great great grandkids which she also said "that's what kept her going".
She is survived by her five children: Ron (Darlene) Eland, Carol (Peter) Hauterbrook, Jill (David) McClure, David (Jo Ann) Eland, and her favorite :) Kathy Eland. Mildred also leaves her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great granchildren. She is preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle (Joe) Duval and two great grandchildren: Amanda and Danielle Sconzert.
A Celebration of Mildred's Life will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Stadium View, 1963 Holmgren Way, Green Bay from 4 - 7 PM. The Newcomer Funeral Home of Green Bay has been entrusted with arrangements. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Casco, WI. Memorial contributions in Mildred's memory may be directed to the Bay Area Humane Society.
