Michael W. Zarnoth, 63, of Maple Creek, lost his battle with cancer and was born into eternal life on Sunday, February 16, 2014, peacefully at his home.
He was born on November 25, 1950, in Green Bay, to the late Floyd Zarnoth and surviving mother Ardell (Hartleben) Vercauteren.
He served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War.
On June 25, 1977, he married Luanne Vanden Boogard in Black Creek.
Mike worked for Forester Masonry for many years.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, wood working, spending time up north, feeding the birds and just enjoying the great outdoors.
Mike is survived by his wife of 36 years, Luanne; four children, Shane (Shelly) Zarnoth of Appleton, Sara (Shawn) Mueller of Shiocton, Luke Zarnoth of Maple Creek and Katie (Corby) Ruth of Menasha; grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Alexis, Tristan, Gracelyn, Walker, Chloe and Jet; mother, Ardell Vercauteren; brother, David (Kay) Zarnoth; sisters, Jean (Tom) Eick, Diane (Lee) Genske, Tina Palubicki, Deb (Jeff) Stray, and Linda (Nick) Vande Voort; many nieces and nephews; and very special friend, Carl (Pat) Piechoki.
Visitation will be held from 9:30am until 11:30am on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 on Saturday at the funeral home with Chaplin Jim Frank officiating.
