Michael Conley Byrne, 64, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly on January 16th. He was born March 12, 1951 in Wausau, WI to Bud & Terry Byrne. He married Marilyn Thiry on December 18, 1971 at St. Boniface Church in De Pere.
Mike graduated from Abbot Pennings High School in 1969. He worked for Richco Structures for many years and most recently he was employed by Truss Systems in Little Chute.
Mike especially enjoyed being with his family, attending his grandkids, nieces and nephews sporting events and various other activities. He was also very active in the community and especially enjoyed his involvement with the Pink Flamingo, NAMI and many other local charities. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying the Packers, St. Norbert Basketball and WDP Phantoms.
Mike shared his love of music through "LUMPAROKE" and made countless friends doing something he truly loved.
Mike is survived by his wife, Marilyn, sons Aaron, Adam (Billie), daughters; Alaina (Ben) Boncher, Ashley (Neal) Sannes, grandchildren; Eric & Kellie McAllister, Savannah & Isaac Boncher, Addison & Kinley Byrne and Brooklyn Sannes. He is further survived by his mother, Terry Byrne, brothers, Pat (Pam), Gerry (Jodi) and Kieran (fiancé Kelly Noel), sisters Mary (Paul) Mason, Sheila Byrne, Las Vegas, NV, Kathy (Phil) Anderegg, Chandler, AZ, his sisters in law; Joyce (Rick) Brumlic, Kathy (fiancé Jerry Fels) Byrne, Carla (Joe) Wallender. Mike is also survived by Marilyn's family, including parents Ira & Dorothy Thiry, sisters in law; Susan Herrmann, Judy (Fred) Punzel, Kathy Thiry and Mary (Earl) Bangert and brothers in law; Jim (Debbie) Thiry, Steve (Chris) Thiry and David (Lucy) Thiry as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his infant children, Jessica and David, father, Bud, and Brothers Dick, Tom and John along with his grandparents.
Grandpa there will always be a spot in the bleachers for you! Lump also wants to remind you that "IF YOU CAN SING IN YOUR CAR YOU CAN SING IN A BAR"!!
Friends and relatives may call at Our Lady of Lourdes (1307 Lourdes Avenue, De Pere, WI) on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 2 to 6:45PM. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Mike's name.
