Michael C. Burke passed away on February 5, 2021. He was born on May 13, 1940, to Norman and Viola (Erickson) Burke. He graduated from Premontre in 1958 and served in the US Coast Guard for 4 years. Michael married Patricia Vanden Heuvel on April 11, 1964.
He worked at Moore Response until he retired in 2001. Michael was very happy working in his work shop, building furniture and toys for his grandchildren, whom he adored. He also enjoyed working in his yard and gardens. Michael loved the Green Bay Packers.
Michael is survived by his wife, Patricia, 2 daughters, Christine (Mark) Limbach, FL, Laurie (Joe) Bur, FL, and one son, Shaun (Sandy) Burke, IL (currently in France for work), and 8 grandchildren, Mati and Lindsey Limbach, Shauna, Justine, and Sami Bur, and Ethan, Evan, and Meghan Burke. He is further survived by 2 sisters, Pat Maufort and Colleen Bertrand, 1 brother, Peter (Joyce) Burke, as well as 9 brothers and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Virginia Burke, and 3 brothers-in-law, John Maufort, Richard Bertrand, and Allen Vanden Heuvel.
A memorial will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish at a later date. Any donations should be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
