Maynard F. Van Ess

Maynard F. Van Ess, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was born on April 2, 1939 in the town of Humboldt to the late Ruby and Fred Van Ess.
Maynard served his country as a member of the United States Army. In 1965, he married the love of his life, Patricia Besaw in Green Bay and together they raised three amazing children. Maynard was employed at Fort Howard Paper Company for over 25 years at which time they retired and moved to Oconto to live on the bay until Patricia's passing in 2007. He then returned to Green Bay and was reunited with Joyce Hess.
Maynard is survived by his children: James (Dennis) Van Ess, John (Laura) Van Ess, and Jane (Donald) Caya; his three granddaughters: Emily, Lauren, and Kaitlin Caya; his youngest brother, Lyle Van Ess; sister-in-law, Joan Van Ess; and Joyce Hess.
Private family services will be held for Maynard and he will be laid to rest at Fort Howard Memorial Park. To leave an online condolence please click the share button below.
