Maxine R. Zak

Maxine R. Zak, age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on January 17, 1947 in Green Bay. She was united in marriage to Gerald Zak on August 28, 1965 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, their marriage was blessed with three children. Maxine enjoyed raising her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was an avid crafter, loved reading, working in her flower gardens, and had several different pets through the years that she adored.

Maxine is survived by her husband, Gerald of 57 years, two daughters: Theresa (Chad) Grady and Lynnette (Eric) Petasek; six grandchildren: Brittany, Kayley, Sidney, and Jackson Grady, Elizabeth (fiancé Darrin) and Jaymes Petasek; brother-in-law, David (Pam) Zak, sister-in-law, Mary (Don) Vertz; she is further survived by many nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael, one great-granddaughter, Maxine, and parents-in-law, Anton and Mercedes Zak.

Friends and family may gather at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, Receptions, 340 S .Monroe Ave on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
