Maurice R. Washington, 65, unexpectedly left us on June 18, 2021. He was born on October 5, 1955, the son of the late Frank and Alma (Christmon) Washington.
Maurice was raised in Chicago and moved to Green Bay to attend St. Norbert College where he graduated with a degree in social work. He worked for local hospitals in the area as well as the Green Bay School District as a social worker before retiring. In his free time, Maurice enjoyed reading books, watching football/basketball as well as sipping coffee while listening to music.
Maurice is survived by his three children: Cory (Jose) Lopez of Greenfield, Derrick (Stacy) Washington of Green Bay, and Marcus (Fatma) Washington of Charleston, SC; ten grandchildren: Hasan, Caleb, Grayson, Tyson Lopez, Jayda, Miyah, and Keira Washington, and Zara, Marcus and Amira Washington; four sisters: Mona, Urania, Vinetta, and Gwendolyn Washington, one brother, Samuel Washington, further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Stanley, Kenneth, and Elston Washington, and one sister, Francine Washington. Maurice will be missed by many.
