Matthew Riley Santee Coopman

Matthew "Matty" Santee Coopman, age 26, died suddenly on August 12, 2022. He grew up in Oconto Falls and graduated in 2014. In his early years he was a very competitive player in football and baseball. Beginning in his youth he enjoyed hunting, fishing in his free time or just to get away for a little while, and being in the outdoors. He especially loved his fishing trips with his grandfather, Richard.

In his short life, he became the proud father to two beautiful sons, Bentley, 7 (Kari Stich) and Mason, 2 (Hailey Ullmer) with whom he always enjoyed going on adventures, and went camping with the Ullmer's enough though he preferred a cabin over a tent. Matty was a great friend, and was always there when you needed someone even if he was going through his own troubles. He was a hard worker, and did what was best to take care of his family.

Matty is survived by his children: Bentley and Mason, father, Dave Coopman (fiancée, Alane Roberts and Anna), mother, Madeline Santee (fiancé, James Heisler), two brothers and two sisters: Brook (Brittnee) Coopman their daughter Allie, Payton Coopman, Abigail Santee (fiancé, Tedd Nadler), Dylan Santee (fiancé Adam Kruse), uncles and aunts: John Santee, Daniel (Debbie) Coopman, and Gail (Roy) Coopman, and maternal grandfather, Richard Santee. Further survived by many dear friends. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Peggy Coopman, and maternal grandmother, Renee Santee.

Friends and family may visit at Grace Lutheran Church, 501 S Main St, Oconto Falls, on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 5:00pm with funeral service at 5:00 pm with Pastor Gary Olson officiating. Private inurnment will take place at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
