Matthew J. Brunette, age 33 of Green Bay, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Santa Maria Nursing Home. He was born September 21, 1981 in Green Bay, WI, the son of Wayne and Gale (Petasek) Brunette.
Matt had an incredible ability to connect with people who some would consider the least amongst us. He often spent time with the homeless and elderly making them feel loved and accepted in a way few others could. Almost always fun-loving and free spirited, Matt had a unique ability to draw people closer to him. Family was the highest priority in Matt's life. He enjoyed long walks, family gatherings, and creating special memories with friends. Matt will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and everybody else touched by his mischievous, humorous, care free and goofy ways.
Matthew is survived by his parents; siblings, Amy (Kurt) Tanguay, Jesse (Nicole), Jenny (Luis), Wade (Rasami), and Heather; aunt, Gladys; and grandmothers, Faye and Shirley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, a step grandmother, an aunt and an uncle.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay). A Memorial service will be held at 4:30 PM officiated by Pastor Scott Malme.
