Mary Helen Zambrowicz

May 16, 1938 — May 21, 2024

Mary Helen (Cichocki) Zambrowicz, age 86, went to dance with Jesus on the streets of gold on May 21, 2024. She was a loving mother of five, and adoring wife to late husband Richard James Zambrowicz, Sr.

Mary was born on May 16, 1938 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Stella Cichocki. Mary attended Cormier Elementary School and West DePere High School. She worked at Fort Howard Paper Company, several retail jobs, but her favorite title was “senior caregiver” which she did until several months ago!

Mary met the love of her life, and married Richard on September 19, 1959. Seeking more answers in her faith, Mary trusted Jesus as her Savior at age 34 and since then has passed on a strong legacy of faith. Mary was actively involved with her church community and family at Highland Crest Baptist Church in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Family meant everything to her. Mary’s passion for life was contagious to her children and grandchildren and anyone who crossed her path. Mary fell in love with butterflies, perhaps because of the verse that speaks of how we are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). She has many special Bible study friends and also mentored others along the way. “A Few of Her Favorite Things”: biking, cruising, cross-country skiing, crafting, gardening, reading, making puzzles, entertaining, playing card games, gospel bus trips, cooking, baking, and watching movies with her popcorn and chocolate candies.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard. She is survived by her children, who are richly blessed by her life: Theresa (Steve) Fletcher, Cynthia (Jamie) DeCleene, Debra McLeod, Richard James (Dede) Zambrowicz, Jr., and Kelly (Tim) Loberger. Mary has 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
