Mary Lou Swanson was born in Muskegon, Michigan and passed away in Green Bay, Wisconsin at the age of 86. She graduated high school in Hurley, Wisconsin.
was preceded in death by her husband Douglas, of 60 years in 2010. The Swansons lived primarily in Upper Michigan and Northern Wisconsin, and she moved to a senior independent living facility in Green Bay, WI from Ashland, WI (14 years) in 2014.
Mary Lou Swanson is survived by four children; Christine Swanson of Marquette, MI; Jeannine Swanson (Troy Westervelt) of Eatonton, GA; Eric Swanson (JoAnn) of Kewaunee, WI; Susan Swanson-Salewske of Ashland, WI.
is also survived by three siblings; Gerald Baldowin (Linda); Michael Baldovin (Bernadette); and Judith Young; sisters-in-law Judith Johnson (Herbert); and Delores Swanson (Gordon – dec.).
Lou worked as a nurse's aide in several locations but her greatest achievement was her love and devotion to friends and family. She had six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
