Mary J. Stein, 94, of Green Bay, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on November 2, 2021, to be with our Lord whom she so loved.
Mary was born in Abrams, Wisconsin on November 6, 1926.
Mary was married to Donald Stein for over 70 years.
Mary cared dearly for those she loved. She especially enjoyed cooking for her family, preparing delicious chicken dinners with all the trimmings. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Watching all the birds outside was a favorite pastime for Mary, providing her great comfort ever since she was a child.
She will be missed by all who loved her.
Mary is survived by her husband, Don of Green Bay, children Jeanne (Tom) Ferris of Holts Summit, Missouri, Julie (John) Krock of Green Bay, Debra Stein (Dave Tronnier) of Byron, Minnesota; 5 grandchildren: Laura (Ryan), Paul (Dana), Teresa (Arnold), Cassie (Nick), and Coltan (Marianne Aras).
She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren: Hanna, Braden, Connor, Corbin, Ava, Victoria, Dominic, Stella, Althea, and Renna.
She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents: Kathryn and Joseph Nickodem, Sr.; five brothers: Antone Nickodem, John Nickodem, Joseph Nickodem, Jr., Thomas Nickodem, Mike Nickodem; two sisters: Ann Zbyszynski and Kathryn Janz.
Mary's family would like to thank the medical staff and chaplains at Bellin Health as well as Unity Hospice for their care and compassion.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay on November 11, at 11:00 AM; Burial will follow at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
