Mary Spakowicz, 69, died Thursday, April 9th, 2015 surrounded by her children. She was born in Milwaukee to the late Edgar and Charlotte (Grimord) Ellner and moved to Green Bay in 1953. She worked at A.C. Nielson, the Green Bay Press-Gazette and Prevea Health. After her family her greatest love was animals.
She is survived by 4 children: Joe Spakowicz, Kaukauna; Amy (Tanyi) Tanjong , Holly Springs, North Carolina; Annette (Eric) Lepp, Combined Locks; Andy Spakowicz, Green Bay. Five grandchildren: Cameron, Jordan, and Noah Tanjong; Alex and Jenna Spakowicz. One sister, Irene Heyer, Crivitz, nephews, cousins, treasured friends, Jeanne Faulkner, Sally Mason, Lynn Schultz and the children's father Ralph Spakowicz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Wayne Ellner, 2 infant brothers and many much loved dogs.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Green Bay Oncology, especially Nicole Spaeth, Dr. Ryan and Dr. Blank along with the extraordinary care provided by Unity Hospice especially Molly, Lana, Jennifer and Cindy. The children wish to extend thanks to their employers The Ariens Company, ReachForce, Catalpa Health and The Wine Cellar for their flexibility and support.
Mary's wishes were to have her children gather privately at inurnment. No service will be held.
