Mary L. Jeziorny, 87, of Green Bay and formerly of Ormond Beach, FL went to rejoin her husband Stanley Jeziorny on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in God's graces. Mary was born April 23, 1928 in London, England as the former Lilly Mary Townroe. A survivor of the Bergn-Belsen concentration camp, she acquired the identity of Mary L. Laszuk.
Mary married Stanley on February 12, 1949 and together traveled to the United States to start a new life in 1950. They settled in the Midwest (Chicago, IL and later Twin Lakes, WI) where they raised their family. They retired to Ormond Beach, FL in 1990 where they became very active in St. Mary's Church and The Carmelite Fathers Monastery in Korona, FL. They moved to the Green Bay area in 2004 to be with their family who lived in WI. Mary was an avid gardener and really knew how to put on a heck of a meal. In Green Bay she became a member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Parish.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Jeziorny; sons, Edward (Betsy) Jeziorny and Mark Jeziorny; grandchildren, Aaron Crowder, Katelin (Robert) Loo, and Lauren Gibson; great grandchildren, Victoria Dunlap, Keith Gibson, Jonas Loo, Karina Gibson and Kayla Gibson and great-great grandchild, Ina Dunlap.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley and her daughter, Heidi.
Friends and relatives may call at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 6 to 7:45 PM. A funeral service will follow at 8 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday January 21, 2016 at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) from 10 to 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHEDRAL (140 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay, WI). Burial will be in Alloeuz Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be donated to ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHEDRAL (140 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay, WI) or The Carmelite Fathers Monastery (141 Carmelite Dr, Bunnell, FL.)
