Mary Jane Koss, 90, of Bellevue, passed away on January 2, 2025 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center. She was born on March 10, 1934 to Charles and Clemence (Delveaux) Massey in Duvall, WI. On May 10, 1955, she married Gene J. Koss. Mary Jane and Gene lived on the family farm before moving to town. She worked very hard all of her life at various jobs. When she was in her 40's she completed her GED. Mary Jane and Gene managed the KOSS family band, and because of her love of weddings they opened Koss Cake Creations with the focus on wedding cakes and cookie bouquets. She absolutely enjoyed spending time working with the brides to be. Mary Jane loved the Lord Jesus, her husband and children, doted upon her grandchildren, and her dogs. She was very crafty and had a zeal for creating things. She treasured her shopping trips, including hunting for cookie jars for all the children and grandchildren.
Mary Jane is survived by her loving husband of almost 70 years, Gene, daughters: Deborah (Kurt) O'Donnell, Tina (Kenneth) Yurk, Tammy Petras, and Janell (Jeff "Whitey") Peters; 15 grandchildren: Jason (Erin) Martens, Joshua (Katie) Martens, Hannah (Ben) Sepulveda, Naomi (James) Olson, Abigail (Joshua) Crouse, April (Jason) Kotajarvi, Ashley (Larry II) Vandewege, Aaron Yurk, Chrissy (Nathan) Amtmann, Derek Ellerman, Jessica (Bryce) Gereau, Nate (Abby) Bodart, Morgan Bodart, Jenna (Travis) Price, and Jared (Briana) Peters; 35 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Winne (Melvin) Massey, and two brothers-in-law: Eben (Lois) Koss and Karl (Lynn) Koss. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one great-great-granddaughter, Phoenix, and 7 siblings.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025, 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Nicolet Memorial Gardens, 2770 Bay Settlement Rd Green Bay, with funeral service to follow at 11:00 am with Chaplain Major Kurt O'Donnell officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of the Good Shepherd.
