Mary Jane Benz, 77, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at her home, with her family by her side, Thursday, October 18, 2012. She was born March 1, 1935 in Forestville, WI to the late George and Josephine (Piette) Tenor. Mary Jane worked in laundry at Odd Fellow's Nursing Home from 1972 until her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed going to farmer's market and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her 3 children: Bonnie (Dave) Draeger and Rick and Randy Benz; 5 grandchildren: Kristi Draeger, Kendal (Adam) Weber, and Nicole, Nathan, and Colleen Benz; 5 great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Owen, Vernon, Autumn, and Khloe; 2 sisters, Pearl (Russell) Maccoux and Josephine (Henry) Vandermuse; and sister-in-law, Rose Tenor.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Benz; infant daughter, Connie; 5 brothers, George, Henry, Walter, Joseph, and Marvin; and 3 sisters, Lucy Stegmann, Marie Knutson, and Delores Blahnik.
Family and friends may call Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, from 10:00am until 1:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00pm, with Ann Froelich, Pastoral Associate officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
