Mary Ellen Haupert, age 87, was born to eternal life August 10, 2018. Mary resided at Angel's Touch Assisted Living in De Pere at the time of her death. Born in Hartford, Wisconsin, on October 29, 1930, to August and Anna Lenz, she married Harold H. Haupert on January 21, 1950. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2011.
Mary's legacy continues on in her children: Daughter Jacalyn (Edward) Fowles, Green Bay, WI; sons Marc Haupert (Kurt Swanson), Burbank, CA; Terry (Patty) Haupert, Menasha, WI; Christopher (Sherry) Haupert, West Bend, WI; grandchildren Jamie and Eric Velkoverh and Nicole and Riley Haupert. Step grandchildren Sandra Monzon, Michelle Ceva, Sam Fowles and their families. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to being an excellent homemaker and mother, Mary worked for many years for the local vocational school and subsequently the Hartford Union High School guidance office. Mary was a truly giving soul, who gave generously to her family, her church, her community and her students.
She was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church and later St. Francis Xavier Parish in De Pere. Mary's faith was very important to her and she relied on it for strength and support. Daily rosary was part of her routine.
Mary and Harold enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S., summers in Townsend, wintering in warm climates and Mary especially enjoyed her trips to New York and Europe with her children. She was an accomplished bargain shopper, daily exerciser, gardener, baker and the creator of many delicious family meals. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and always interested in their activities and accomplishments.
Memorial services for Mary will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church (264 W. State St. Hartford WI, 53027) with Fr. David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Mary's name benefiting her favorite charities.
