Marvin Fredrick Rose, 92, Green Bay, passed away on 8-17-2021. Marv was born on April 9, 1929 in Green Bay to Adolph and Hildagard (Danz) Rose. He was a graduate of East High School, with the class of 1947 and attended the Green Bay Vocational School.
He was employed by Fairmont Food and Aid Association for Lutherans. He then made a career change to a broker in Real Estate and land development in Pulaski and Hobart until his retirement.
From 1951 to 1953 Marv served in the 11th Airborne Division as a US Paratrooper. He always said that was the biggest thrill he ever had with his pants on.
On July 19, 1981 he was married to Sandra Liebzeit. They enjoyed 40 years of flea markets, buying and selling antiques, traveling, family fun and casinos. Marv loved his Canadian fishing trips and in Texas and Mead Lake. Also, the quiet woods during turkey hunting. He was a proud owner of Packer Tickets since the 50's and attended the Ice Bowl.
Marv is survived by his wife Sandy and 6 children: Kathy Baker, Steve (Faye) Rose, Jeff (Lori) Rose, Brad (Laurel) Rose, Scott (Priscilla) Rose and Melissa (Tim) Watermolen; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings Cal Rose, David (Shirley) Rose and Gladys Larsen; Sandy's siblings Eldon (Corine) Liebzeit, Bruce (Mary) Liebzeit, Carol (Lee) Cook, Diane (Roger) Standiford and Debbie (Fred) Hribar and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Adolph and Hildagard Rose and in-laws Clarence and Beatrice Liebzeit; as well as Harold and Shirley Rose, Esther and Louis Jansen, Barbara Rose, Melvin Larsen, and the mother of his children, Ruth Rose.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 11:30am to 12:30 pm at First Ev. Lutheran Church (743 S Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301). A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm with Pastor Paul Schleis officiating, followed by Military Honors.
