Marvin "Marv" Kleczka, age 76, of Abrams, passed away peacefully,Thursday, January 3, 2019, with his family by his side. He was born February 5, 1942 in Green Bay, son of the late Edward and Margaret (Novak) Kleczka and was a graduate of Pulaski High School.
Marv married Sharon Gering in September of 1962 and the couple was blessed with 3 children. He was a lifelong truck driver for local companies, retiring from Schneider National.
Marv was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and trips to Canada with his fishing buddies. He also was passionate about motorcycles, hot rods and antique automobiles.
Marvin is survived by his 3 children: Bryan (Jean) Kleczka, Pat (Amy) Kleczka and Bonnie Gottfried; 6 grandchildren: Brad and Andy Kleczka, Ryan Kleber and Kayla Kleczka, Allan and Brianna Gottfried; 4 great-grandchildren and his brother, Donald (Karen) Kleczka.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sharon (Gering) Kleczka.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Monday, January 7, 2019 from 3 to 6 PM. A funeral service will follow at 6 PM.
Marv's children would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Tender Hearts Assisted Living, as well as Heartland Hospice for their loving care of their dad.
