Martha Ann Mill ("Muffy")
Martha Ann Mill, 65, passed away at home on January 11, 2022 due to complications from COVID-19. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone she met. She loved people and always reached out to greet them with a hug.
Martha (Muffy) was born in Green Bay on May 29, 1956, to William and Florence (Valentine) Mill. She was the youngest of the five "Mill Girls", and yes, she was spoiled by all of us. She loved her family, Etch-a-Sketch, pop beads, crafts, baking, and helping any way she could.
Muffy attended Whitney School, and until two years ago, she was a client at the CP Center in Green Bay, where she loved her music and swimming classes. In her younger years, she participated in the Special Olympics, with her favorite activity being bowling. She found great joy in having fun with others, and she had a good sense of humor. She also had a caring, protective heart for people who were hurting. Muffy taught us all good lessons about unconditional love, resiliency, tenacity, compassion, and acceptance.
Martha is survived by her sister Carol Ray, her nephew Jason Ray, and all her "family" at Bufflehead House Adult Family Home.
She is preceded in death by her parents and four sisters: Katherine Wood, Susan Bell, Linda Raisanen, infant Mary, and brother-in-law John Raisanen.
Due to the COVID situation, a private service will be held. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank all of Martha's caregivers and friends throughout the years, especially those at Bufflehead, the CP Center, Lakeland Care, Cottonwood Center, and Unity Hospice. Your kindness and love for Martha were evident and appreciated.
