Marlin L. Pennenberg, age 60, of Greenleaf, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 12, 1955 in Green Bay, WI, son of the late Raymond and Vanita (Kamps) Pennenberg and was a graduate of Wrightstown High School.
Marlin began working in customer service at Austin Straubel airport, sparked by his love of traveling. His children fondly remember their many family trips. He was very active in the Wrightstown schools and their athletics departments. Marlin was instrumental in raising funds to install lights for the football field. He took a very active role in his childrens' lives, coaching their many activities and being present at any events. Marlin was an avid sports fan and loved to cheer on the Brewers, Packers and especially all of the Wrightstown athletic teams.
Marlin is survived by his 3 children: Marlo (Jake) Miller, Andy (Jessica) Pennenberg and Morgan Pennenberg; a granddaughter, Isabella Miller; brother, Robert "Bob" (the late Judy) Pennenberg and a sister, Diane (Gary) Gezella; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Donald and Thomas Pennenberg.
Marlin was a member of St. Clare Parish, Wrightstown and his faith was very close to his heart. Marlin's family was most dear to him. His kind heart, sense of humor and sharp wit will be dearly missed.
Friends and relatives may call at ST. CLARE PARISH, (437 Main St., Wrightstown), Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 4 to 6:45 PM. A prayer service will follow at 7 PM. Visitation will continue, Friday, May 6, 2016 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will be in St. Paul/St. Patrick Cemetery.
