Mark D. Peterson, 69, of Mountain and formerly of Denmark, beloved husband of the late Kay (Knuth) Peterson, departed this life on Monday, June 11, 2018 at his residence.
Mark was born August 26, 1948 in Green Bay, son of the late Melvin and Joyce (Lange) Peterson. A graduate of Denmark High School, and later enlisted in the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. While in the Army he was a Helicopter Door Gunner serving 33 months, 17 days. His entire career he worked as a Truck Driver for numerous companies and later was a property maintenance manager for numerous apartment complexes. Mark had an extremely good relationship with his brothers and will be missed greatly. He was willing to help anyone, and was a very selfless person. He enjoyed ATVing up in the Mountain area and was a member of the Crooked Lake Sportsman Club. Mark also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his beloved dog Ernie.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Ben Kuehn) Lemmens, two brothers, Gary (Darlene Kassha) Peterson and Todd (Janice) Peterson, along with beloved grandchildren: Olivia Lemmens and Cameron (Mercedes Kudick) Lemmens. Mark also leaves numerous extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Vicki Peterson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 10 AM - 12 PM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 435 Wisconsin Avenue, Denmark. A memorial service celebrating Mark's life will follow at 12 PM in the church. Interment will be the West Danish Cemetery. Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel is assisting Mark's family with arrangements.
