Mark Frederick Wilhelmi, 54, Green Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Saturday, February 8, 2014. He was born October 28, 1959 in Crystal Falls, MI, to Walter and Joyce (Sternhagen) Wilhelmi. Mark graduated from Florence High School with the class of 1978. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. On October 19, 1985 Mark married Jessica Rowe at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Florence. He worked for Auto Glass Specialists for over 25 years.
Mark enjoyed time spent hunting, fishing, picking berries and mushrooms, and gardening with his best friend and father, Walter. When Mark had a son of his own he was proud to teach him the way of the woods.
Survivors include his daughter, Rachel (Adam) Porath; son, James Wilhelmi; granddaughter, Harper Porath; parents, Walter and Joyce; ex-wife and friend, Jessica Rowe; 2 sisters, Cheryl (Vilas) Schroeder and Paula (Dick) Leffler; and other relatives and friends.
Family and friends may gather Thursday, February 13, 2014, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 524 Olive Avenue, Florence, WI, from 11:00am until Noon. A memorial service will be celebrated at the church on Thursday at 12:00pm with Rev. Rob Zeratsky officiating.
