Mark Ehlert

Freedom - Mark A. Ehlert, age 66, passed away suddenly on November 28, 2021. The son of the late George and Beverly Ehlert, was born December 21, 1954, in Waukegan, IL. He graduated from Zion Benton High School. On November 26, 2004, he married Robin (Collen) Ehlert in beautiful Door County and recently celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary.

Mark was very passionate about his work and very proud of what he did. He worked for various brick and tile companies around the area where he eventually met his loving wife. Together, they built a beautiful home that they shared in Freedom. He was an avid biker and pedaled many miles a day. He loved to ride their tandem bike with Robin. Mark loved to travel with Robin whether near or far. They loved to get away to Door County and soak up the breath-taking views on their bikes. Their last big trip was to Savannah, GA as they explored the beautiful architecture and culture of the south. And of course, living in Wisconsin, Mark and Robin would enjoy going to the traditional Friday Fish Fry.

Mark cherished nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren (all 21 of them). He was a kid at heart and enjoyed playing basketball, football, and games with all his kids and grandchildren. He will forever be remembered by his nicknames Pockey & Sparky. Mark was an avid Bears fan and loved to watch their games with his kids. He also enjoyed music, especially Elvis. A very special memory for Mark was getting to recently perform with his brother, David, on stage while singing all their favorite Elvis songs. Mark was a fun loving, caring man, who would do anything for his family. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do to bring a smile to someone's face! He will be deeply and forever missed.

Surviving Mark are his wife Robin; children: Fayr'a (Thomas) Ehlert Catenzaro (1), Nicholas Ehlert, Brooke (Austin) Laszewski (4), Benjamin (Jocelyn) Ehlert (2), Elliott (Courtney) Ehlert (1), Eli (Cristy) Ehlert (2), Jeremy (Carmen) Raymaker (3), John (Terra) Raymaker (2), Joseph (Liz Pritzl) Raymaker (3), Ashley (Brian) Monfils (3); siblings: David (Susie) Ehlert, Susan (Mark) Harris, Lisa (Lou) Escoto, James (Sean Reilly) Ehlert; nieces and nephews: Maria Stephens, Christopher Harris, Mandy Shrubb, Chessa Manion; mother-in-law: Patricia Collen.

Mark was preceded in death by: his parents George & Beverly Ehlert, John Collen (Father-in-law), and Jeff Collen (Brother-in-law).

Family and friends may visit at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Lane, Howard, on Friday, December 10, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am.
