Marilyn Wielgus, age 82, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Unity Hospice Residence in De Pere. She was born August 12, 1940 to the late Frank and Anastasia "Nettie" (Banaszynski) Wielgus.
Marilyn attended grade school in Wausaukee and was a graduate of Pulaski High School, Class of 1958. She worked for Georgia Pacific (formerly Fort Howard), retiring after many dedicated years of employment.
Marilyn enjoyed spending time up at the family cottage in Silver Cliff. She adored her canine companion, Spunky.
Marilyn is survived by her brother and sister, Roger (Carol) Wielgus and Janice Lubinski; a sister-in-law, Carol Wielgus; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Gene Schrum, a brother, Gerald Wielgus, sister, Lorraine (Rudy) Herzog, niece, Cheryl, and brother-in-law, Ralph Lubinski.
Private services for Marilyn were held by her family in Green Bay.
Marilyn's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Vincent Hospital, as well as to Unity Hospice, for their care and compassion.
