Marilyn Alice Lindbloom, of Green Bay, WI went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 27, 2023 at the age of 87. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by family in her home.
Marilyn was born on May 6, 1936 in Trimountain, MI to Thomas and Alfreda Sleeman.
At the age of five, Marilyn's family moved to Stambaugh, MI where she was very active in school activities. In high school, Marilyn participated in tennis, basketball and she was the drum major for the high school marching band. When Marilyn was sixteen years old, her mother, Alfreda, passed away unexpectedly. After a period of time, Marilyn's father, Thomas, was remarried to Isabel Nelson, a widow with a one year old daughter, Ruth.
Marilyn graduated high school in 1952 and attended Northern Michigan University where she majored in Elementary Education. She graduated in 1958 with a teaching degree and went on to teach for over 20 years. Most of her teaching years were at Fox Valley Christian Academy in Neenah, WI teaching kindergarten.
Marilyn began dating Marvin Lindbloom in college and they were married on July 25, 1959 and together they raised three children.
Marilyn enjoyed reading, camping, attending church, teaching Vacation Bible School, leading Children's Ministry and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Marvin; three children, Julie (Scott) Juedes, Karen (Boyd) Pitney, and Mike (Jenny) Lindbloom; sister Ruth (Lou) Rossetti; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas, Freda, Isabel, and brother, Thomas.
Private services were held by Marilyn's family.
