Marilla "Babe" (Thyrion) Kolosso passed away on November 16, 2024. She was born in Green Bay Wisconsin on December 7, 1934 to Mildred (Corby) Thyrion and Wallace V. Thyrion. She attended West High School in Green Bay where she met her future husband, Gerald A. Kolosso. Together they had 6 children. They later divorced. She met and loved another who she shared another son with. Marilla is survived by her seven children; Jerry (Nancy deceased), Victor, Catherine "Kate", Rodney, Ken, Melinda (Steve) and Keith (Chris). Babe has many grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. They brought her much joy. She taught them the love of reading. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Wallace and Kenneth Thyrion, many aunts and uncles as well as several grandchildren.
Marilla went to college and became a librarian. She loved to do children’s programs while working for Howard library. She retired after twenty years. She was an avid reader and loved to go play bingo with her best buds Jackie and Mel Way.
She is now resting in the arms of Jesus surrounded by her loved ones and looking down on her family praying for peace among her family.
The family would like to especially thank St. Vincent Hospital and all their supporting staff, with a special thank you to the "Nurses of 9th" especially Ella, Jenny, Audrey, Brooklyn, Kate, and Martha. They are the extended family Melinda serves with daily.
