Marie Theresa Legois

Marie Theresa Legois, 78, a lifelong resident of Green Bay, WI, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, February 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 14, 1945 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Lawrence "Babe" and Ruth (Van Caster) Nuthals Sr. and was a graduate of Green Bay West High School.

Marie married Ronald Legois, July 18, 1964 at Church of the Annunciation, Green Bay. They shared 59 loving years of marriage and were blessed with 3 sons. Marie worked as a supervisor for Diana Manufacturing until they relocated. She was then privileged to be a caretaker for her beloved grandchildren.

Marie was a talented gardener and was passionate about her flowers, especially her rose bushes. She loved feeling the wind on her face while riding on the back of the Harley with Ron. They enjoyed many adventures on their Harley with various area Harley riding groups, including Retreads and Doc's. Her family was her pride and joy.

Marie is survived by her husband, Ronald; her sons: Rick Legois, Brian (Michelle) Legois and Scott (Lisa) Legois; 5 grandchildren: Keshia (Ryan) Jones, Katelyn (Andrew) Doers, Ryan Legois, Nathan Jensen and Johanna Legois; 2 great-grandchildren and her brother, Ron (Mary) Nuthals. She is further survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Mona Nuthals and Joan Schroeder, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lawrence "Newt" Nuthals Jr. and Roger (Carol) Nuthals Sr. and her father and mother-in-law, John and Marie Legois.

Visitation will be held in the chapel at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum (2770 Bay Settlement Rd., Green Bay, WI), Friday, February 9, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 NOON. A funeral service will follow at 12 NOON.

In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the charity of your choice in Marie's name are appreciated.

Marie's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the first responders and nursing staff in the ER and ICU at St. Vincent Hospital for their care and compassion.
