Marie Ferguson

Marie (Oliver) Ferguson, 77, of Shawano, formerly of Green Bay, died peacefully on October 16, 2024. The daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy (Demeny) Oliver was born on November 28, 1946.

Marie graduated 8th grade from Cathedral Catholic grade school and East High School in 1965. In 1967, she married Ray Ferguson at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. They had two wonderful children, Tina and Todd.

She loved bowling, fishing, cooking, baking, and taking care of anybody she could find who needed taking care of. She enjoyed being helpful at many functions in her home parish, St. Martin of Tours in Cecil.

Marie was happiest when she could spend time with her grandchildren or great grandchildren - she was always excited to share photos and videos of all of them!

Marie is survived by her husband, Ray; two children, Tina (Brad) Johnson and Todd (Tiffanie) Ferguson; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Gayle) Oliver. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and too many friends to mention.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, many aunts and uncles; two brothers, Mark and Steve (Cindy) and one sister, Stella (Lee) Sudduth and very dear friends.

Family and friends may come for visitation at St. Martin of Tours (407 S Warrington Ave, Cecil, WI 54111) on Thursday, October 24 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm and again on Friday, October 25 from 9:00 -11:00 am with a Funeral Mass to follow.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials directed to the family are appreciated.
