Marianne McDermid, 84, of Green Bay and formerly of Sheboygan, beloved wife of the late Robert McDermid, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving daughters.
Marianne was born on December 1, 1933, in Chicago, daughter of the late Edward and Betty (Vieau) Meverden. In her early career she worked for the Sheboygan Fire Department as a Dispatcher. After moving to Green Bay she was blessed to work for the Green Bay Packers for 19 years as the Player Personnel Secretary until her retirement in 1997. She stayed active and enjoyed her morning walks. Attending Packer games was something she really loved even until her later years. In her spare time she loved to read and was well known at the local library. Marianne will be remembered most as a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother who truly "loved life".
She is survived by her three daughters: Denise (Ken) Ristow, Maureen "Renie" (Craig) Harmeling, and Marcey McDermid. She also leaves her siblings: Barbara (Roger) Young, Dick (Michelle) Meverden, and Janette Meverden. Marianne leaves her beloved grandchildren: Katie, Jessie, Christine, Zach, and Noah, along with 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, David Radwanski; siblings: Betty Mae Annoye, Gene Meverden, and KJ Meverden.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 22nd from 9 AM - 10:30 AM at St. Willebrord Parish, 203 S. Adams Street, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM in the Church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Algoma at a later date. Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
