Marian Bramer Hoslet

November 5, 1937 — February 15, 2023

Marian Jacqueline (Bramer) Hoslet passed away at St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay, WI on February 15, 2023 at the age of 85.

She was born on November 5, 1937 in Green Bay. Marian graduated from West High School in 1955 where she played trombone in the high school band. Marian attended Carroll College in Waukesha, WI and later St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI. In June, 1961, Marian married her husband of almost 59 years, David Lee Hoslet.

Marian held several positions throughout her career, including Assistant to the Athletic Director at St. Norbert College and co-owner and later President of Sun Equipment and Supply Co., Inc. As an active volunteer in the Green Bay community, Marian was very involved in the American Cancer Society, the Service League of Green Bay, the Green Bay Day Nursery and the Antiquarian Society, among others. She and her husband, David, also served as foster parents for several children and teens in the 1970s.

Marian had many social ties and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her friends in Book Club, Grandmother's Club, Lunch Bunch and in the neighborhood.
Marian is survived by her children Charles Hoslet (Becky) of Madison, WI and Alexandra Martensson (Erik) of Wauwatosa, WI; six grandchildren (Alexander Arzoomanian Hoslet, Arianna Arzoomanian Perez (Cristian), Mariannika Birgitta Martensson, Niklas David Martensson, Krister Heine Martensson, and Mikael Carl Martensson); her sister Beverly Kiernan; in-laws Mary Timmerman, Phillip Hoslet (Mary Ann), and Judy Shimon (Patrick); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Hoslet, her parents Lester and Hazel (Sharp) Bramer; her father and mother-in-law Rowland and Elaine Hoslet; and her brothers-in-law Patrick Kiernan and Richard Timmerman.

Marian was a loving, generous, fun, and vibrant mother, "grandmom," sister, friend, and neighbor. She will be greatly missed for many reasons, including her love of fun and adventure, her loyal friendship, her voracious reading, her enjoyment of playing Liverpool Rummy, and above all, her love for her family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Women's Career Closet – YWCA of Greater Green Bay.
