Margie Deisenroth

October 10, 1921 — January 7, 2013

Margie Lorraine (Miller) Deisenroth, born October 10, 1921 in Chicago IL, went to meet her Lord on January 7, 2013, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, her home for the past couple of years.

Wife of Herman; daughter, Barbara (Terry) Hinnendael of Green Bay; son, Robert of Green Bay; grandchildren, Joseph (Aoibheann), Frank, Jeffrey & Sharon Hinnendael; brother, Edward of Marshfield, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

Margie attended grammar school and high school in Chicago, graduating in 1939. She worked as a financial secretary before marriage and then took over the job of raising her family. Margie survived cancer early on in her marriage and was instrumental in forming support groups, both individually and in conjunction with the American Cancer Society in suburban Chicago including interviews on local TV. She is a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary to Des Plaines Post 2992 of the VFW and remained active until retirement. She also helped her husband found and maintain a business for 32 years.

She and her family changed residences in the Chicago suburbs many times while her children grew and were on their own. She talked Herman into retiring and built their beautiful home on Fawn Lake in Wisconsin and enjoyed the good life including many years with their mobile home. She decided she liked Nevada because they enjoyed their many visits and so they retired again to Laughlin, NV, a small community on the Colorado River. She now had more time for her hobbies of cooking, reading and of course, gambling with her specialty of Bingo. After she survived a broken hip they moved to Green Bay to be close to family and spent several happy years there.

Family and friends may call Friday, January 11, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 2771 Oakwood Dr., Green Bay, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Friday at 11:00am, with Rev. Paul Demuth officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
