Margaret M. Schroeder

June 20, 1940 — April 9, 2014

Margaret M. Schroeder, 73, Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 20, 1940, in Green Bay, the daughter of the late John & Germaine (Vander Geeten) Prechter.

She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy. She married Paul Schroeder on February 27, 1960 at St. Patrick's Church in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2010.

Margaret held various jobs throughout the community, but above all took the most pride and enjoyment in being a Mom. She also lovingly cared for her mother and her husband until their passing.

She enjoyed camping when her children were young, was an avid reader, and she loved Elvis. She also enjoyed cooking and adding to her Santa Clause collection.

Margaret is survived by and will be lovingly missed by her son, Paul John, daughter, Becky (Vince) McCormick, and her constant canine companion, Hatter. She is also survived by her sisters, Anne (Tim) Monday and Mary Kay (Ralph Perry) Gerbers; sisters-in-law, Kay Prechter and Linda Prechter; nieces, nephews, cousins; along with in-laws, Sue, Karen and John Schroeder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents; brothers, John, Keith and David; and her in-laws, Lloyd and Mary Ellen Schroeder.

Per Margaret's wishes, private services were held at Newcomer Funeral Home.

We would like to thank the entire staff of Bellin Hospital 2nd South Critical Care Unit, the nurses and CNAs of Bellin's 4th Floor, especially nurses Sue and Sara, for giving us one more week of precious time with our Mom.
