Margaret "Peg" Quinn Jones passed away peacefully on September 16th in Grafton, Wisconsin. Peg was born September 26, 1939 in Stevens Point, WI to Norma and William Quinn. She graduated from PJ Jacobs High School (class of 1957) in Stevens Point, WI.
The youngest of three children, she was the loving sibling to her brother Garry "Buzz" Quinn of Sheboygan, WI and sister Nancy Zoellner of Kirkwood, MO. Peg had rooted bonds with Stevens Point and talked fondly of growing up in this idyllic small town.
Peg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from St. Mary's College, South Bend Indiana, in 1961. Given its relationship as a sister school to Notre Dame, Peg was always a big fan of the Fighting Irish and always watched football faithfully on Saturdays, cheering for the Golden Domers.
On August 14, 1965, Peg married the love of her life, Stephen Charles Jones, also of Stevens Point. The couple made their home in Green Bay, WI where Peg spent her career as a teacher at St. Joseph's Academy and Notre Dame de la Baie Academy before retiring in 1997. Peg had many friends while living in Green Bay whom she loved to spend time with by playing golf, participating in gardening and book clubs, as well as being part of the PEO Society.
Peg is survived by four children: Ann Margaret (Willett R. Willis), William Richard (Gretchen), Daniel Stephen (Kelly), and Michael Quinn (Abby). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Connor, Quinnlan, Liam, Jack, Matilda, Ranney, Evelyn, Erin, Allison, Jacob and Brandon whom she affectionately referred to as her "leprechauns".
The family will greet mourners Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Resurrection Church 333 Hilltop Dr. in Green Bay, WI between 10:00-11:00 am with a funeral mass immediately following at the church.
