Margaret "Maggie" A. Brown, 56, of Green Bay, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015. Margaret was born March 23, 1959 in Plymouth, WI, to Vincent and Twyla (Palmer) Drenski.
Maggie found much serenity and beauty in gardening and spent hours in her flower beds of "Alaska". She spent countless hours on home renovation projects and loved to challenge herself to new ideas. Family was an essential part in Maggie's day to day life; she loved attending the annual family "Drenski Drenching" camping trips and many holiday gatherings throughout the years. She found enjoyment in watching and supporting her son play baseball, hardly ever missing a game. She and her daughter shared many of the same interests and enjoyed her company day in and day out. But above all her grandchildren were the most inspirational pieces of her life and spending time with them was above all importance. Maggie drew strength from her involvement in many self-help organizations. She was a warrior of wisdom and carried the message of her perseverate journey.
Maggie is survived by her son, Lucas (Kim) Brown; daughter, Anissa Brown; sister, Sherry (Dan) Pillsbury; brothers, Michael Drenski, David (Mary) Drenski; grandchildren, Shania Rose, Elias Xaevier Jr, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. Long-time Friends Nicole Krauel, Desi Nunez, Melanie Mullins, and special friend Mike Janda.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Vincent Sr. and Clara Drenski along with many other aunts and uncles.
Memorial visitation will be held at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 4 to 6:45 PM. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Maggie's name.
A special thanks to Dr. Tahsildar, The Bellin Cancer Team and To Hartland Hospice Nurses and staff for the gentle care.
