Marc Mitchell passed away at home on February 27, 2021 at the age of 73. He was raised in Menasha, WI and graduated from Menasha High School in 1965. After graduation he joined the Navy, serving in Vietnam as an airplane mechanic. He worked at Georgia Pacific as an electrician for 31 years.
Marc enjoyed countless hunting and fishing trips over the years to Wyoming, Alaska, and Canada (especially Mons Lake). He was thrilled to take Hunter and Tanner on annual fishing trips to Canada for the last 13 years and antelope hunting in Wyoming the last 4 years.
G. Marc enjoyed attending Ryan and Riley's baseball games and his weekly visits to Mer and Jackie's Supper Club for an old fashioned.
Marc is survived by his wife of 50 years Pat (Mamerow) Mitchell; his son Troy (Roxanne) Mitchell, Green Bay; his two daughters, Lisa (Brian) Schultz, Seymour and Natalie (Jim) Van Handel, Seymour; his four grandsons: Hunter and Tanner Schultz, and Ryan and Riley Van Handel; sister Gail (Bob) Haag, Larson; brother Kirk (Tracy) Mitchell, Cocoa Beach, FL.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Karen (Bill) Frank, Donna (Terry) Holbrook, California and Judy Green, Fond Du Lac; nieces, nephews and friends.
Marc is preceded in death by his parents: Phillip Mitchell and Virginia (Mitchell) Guilfoyle; grandparents Lyle and Elsie Mitchell and Louis and Myrtle Schwall; in-laws Wilfred and Viola Mamerow.
At Marc's request the family will have a private celebration of life and his ashes will rest in Canada.
