Lorraine F. Klarkowski, 91, Little Suamico, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, February 3, 2015.
She was born on September 24, 1923, in Lincoln, WI, to Joseph & Josephine (Hallada) Stangel.
Lorraine married Norbert Klarkowski on March 27, 1971, at St. Mary of the Angel's Parish.
She worked as an elevator operator for the Minihan and McCormick Building, while working she was able to meet several of the Packer players including her favorite, Bart Starr. Later she worked at a snowmobile factory in Algoma, before becoming a homemaker.
Lorraine enjoyed painting ceramics, making afghan's, needlework, and would play golf every Saturday morning with Norbert.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Norbert; daughter, Jacqueline Servais; daughter-in-law, Janet Stangel; grandchildren, Daniel, Dale (Lori), and Debbie (fiancé Tom Elliott) Smits, Kandi (Jeff) Fisher, Travis (Jill) Stangel, Renee (Robert) Ohrmundt; and many great-granchildren and great great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Stangel and Francis Ronk, Francis Petri and Beatrice Dimmer; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, James Stangel; son-in-law, Ron Servais; siblings, Joseph, Norbert, Clarence, Julia, Mary and Beatrice; in-laws, Regina Schwartz, Pauline Edee, Ambrose Klarkowski, Bernard Klarkowski, Chester Klarkowski, John Klarkowski, and Felix Klarkowski; brother-in-law, Roland (Marge) Servaes; and first husband, Norbert Nennig.
Visitation with the urn present will be held from 4:00pm until 6:30pm on Monday, February 9, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay. A memorial service will be held at 6:30pm on Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Lorraine's family would like to thank Dr. Francis Lee and Unity Hospice employee Terry Roskam for their care and concern and also, and the doctors and staff of Bellin Hospital, Unity Hospice and Maple Ridge Nursing Home.
