Lori Palmer

July 22, 1963 — June 21, 2024

Green Bay, WI –

Lori (Brammer) Palmer, 60, passed away peacefully, but too soon, on June 21, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 22, 1963, in Green Bay, WI to Ralph and Muriel Brammer.

Lori was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She attended Green Bay East High School. She worked at Walgreens for 15 years as a Strategic Inventory Management Systems (SIMS) Coordinator, where she was respected and loved by her coworkers and regulars. Prior to that, she also worked at Jubilee Foods as a Deli Clerk.

She married Richard Palmer on December 17, 1993, and they spent 30 wonderful years together. Lori often referred to Richard as her hero and soulmate. He was her biggest cheerleader and best companion, caregiving from the very beginning to the very end.

Lori faced challenges with grace, defeating cancer and battling ALS in her final years. Despite these illnesses, she remained known for continuing to put others before herself. Always willing to be last, she never complained about her circumstances, and endured them with grace. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor.

Lori had a passion for gardening and spent many years cultivating both indoor and outdoor gardens with various plants. She was particularly proud the year her sunflowers grew taller than the house. She loved the smell of lilacs when they bloomed.

Lori was an avid reader and collected hundreds, if not thousands, of books that took over many rooms of the house. She was highly interested in murder mysteries and paranormal oddities. Ever the homebody, she enjoyed curling up with a good book on the couch surrounded by some of her favorite snacks; Doritos with cheese dip, M&M’s, and liver pâté on chicken biscuits!

Lori is survived by her loving husband, Richard; her children, Jasmin (Ryan) Leigh and William Palmer; and three grandchildren, Symphony, Simone, and Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Muriel Brammer; her father-in-law, William Palmer and mother-in-law Sally Palmer; her nieces, Cassandra Stachura and Jessie Palmer; her nephew Devin Palmer; and further relatives and friends.

In accordance with Lori's wishes, there will be a private visitation and funeral service held for the immediate family only.

Lori loved flowers, if sending flowers please coordinate with the florist and the florist can contact the funeral home to ensure the flowers arrive for the service. Donations can also be made in Lori’s memory as a gift towards St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Green Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, or the ALS Association.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin ALS Clinic in Milwaukee; Unity Hospice, especially Brianna, Molly, and Dawn; and St. Vincent’s Cancer Center for their compassionate care during Lori's illnesses.

Lori Palmer will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
