Lois E. Dougherty, 85, Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014, after a brief illness.
She was born on May 29, 1928, in Chicago, IL, to late Joseph & Evelyn Ruzicka.
Lois graduated from Von Steaven High School in 1946, in Chicago.
She married Jack Dougherty on May22, 1948. They were married for over 50 years until Jack's passing on January 8, 2002.
Lois was a full time mother and worked as a homemaker for her family.
She was an avid reader and has a journal of every book she has read. She loved birds and kept a list of the various birds she has seen over her lifetime. Lois was a lifelong Green Bay Packer and Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include three sons, Gary (Diane) Dougherty, Stephen (Monika) Dougherty and Bruce (Karen) Dougherty; grandchildren, Gretchen Dougherty, Michele Riedel, Ryan Fiebig, Jeneene Dickert, Daniel Dougherty; great grandchildren, Brandon, Brady, Maci, Dani, and Nathan; sisters-in-law, Bobbi Sullivan and Bunny Mullins; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack; son, Brian Dougherty; and brother, Thomas Ruzicka.
Visitation will be held from 10:30am to 12:00pm on Saturday, May, 17, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay. A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm Noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
