Linda M.(Janssen) Borta

Linda Mae Borta, 61, of De Pere, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 13, 2013. She was born August 16, 1951, in Green Bay, to Kenneth and Donna (Lavey) Janssen. Linda graduated from East De Pere High School with the class of 1969. She was employed at Schreiber Foods for nearly 20 years and Humana for over 20 years. Linda married Patrick Borta on October 16, 1993, at the Wellington. She was an avid collector of Precious Moments and enjoyed reading.

Survivors include her loving husband, Patrick; daughter, Lisa Mae Pfluger; her parents, Kenneth and Donna Janssen; brothers and sister, Ken (Barb) Janssen, Sue (Dave) Woodke, and Jeff (Jill) Janssen; brother-in-law, Ed Borta; sister-in-law, Diane (Ron) Boyce; many nieces and nephews; and loving furry companions, Josette and Rosette.

Linda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William and Gertrude Janssen; maternal grandparents, Earl and Viola Lavey; and sister-in-law, Linda Borta.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, from 11:00am until the time of service at 2:00pm with Rev. James Baraniak O.Praem. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Linda's family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Bellin Cancer Center, especially Dr. James, Dr. Lynch, and Jenna for all of the care and compassion they've shown over the last two and a half years.
