Linda M. Ernst, age 68, of Green Bay, died peacefully, Monday, February 17, 2020 after a long illness, supported by her loving husband, Paul. She was born April 10, 1951 in St. Cloud, MN, daughter of the late John and Claire (Budde) Van Haren.
Linda was a graduate of Burlington High School, Class of 1969. After graduating, she attended UW-LaCrosse for 2 years. She relocated to Green Bay in 1971, where she made many friends and eventually found the love of her life in 1999. Linda married Paul Ernst on May 19, 2000 and the couple shared over 20 wonderful years together.
Linda had a strong passion for interior design and was known to tell her clients and friends, "If you love something, you'll always find a place for it!" She loved to shop and made that into a career helping others find the perfect item at Siefert's, H.C. Prange and Younkers. She was active in the Green Bay Community Church singles group, where she and Paul enjoyed bike riding and sharing great times with their friends. Linda was a social butterfly and never missed an opportunity to get together with friends and family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Paul; her daughter, Anne Marie Lochner; her loving sisters: Maribeth Miller, Laurie (Rick) Verga and Susan (Robin) Roberts and her brother, Jeff (Theresa) Van Haren. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Claire (Budde) Van Haren, brother, Johnny Van Haren, her sister, Cathy Waters, a brother-in-law, Blair Miller, and a sister-in-law, Deb Ernst.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Linda's celebration of life has been postponed. For updates on service times, please keep watching the website. Private inurnment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to a charity of your choice in Linda's name are appreciated.
Linda's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Home Instead, for enabling Linda to stay comfortably in her home for as long as possible and to Odd Fellow Home, Compassus and Heartland Hospice that provided wonderful care for Linda after she was unable to stay at home.
