On Friday, October 26, 2018, Lillian "Girly" Gulbrandsen, age 86, peacefully passed away to be with the Lord at Angel's Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI.
Lillian was born December 11, 1931 in the granary of a farm in Gillett, Wisconsin to Lena and Adolph Heinz. She was the third of four children. Lillian was a graduate of 8th grade at DU, Degantown University, also known as the local 1-room school house.

Lillian married the late Arthur Gulbrandsen on July 14th, 1951 at St. John's Riverside Church. They were happily married for 62 years. More than anything, Lillian enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family. She excelled at making people laugh and was never at a loss for words. She was sharp as a tack until the end. She loved playing cards, going fishing, gardening, an occasional trip to the casino, and watching the Brewers and Packers win. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and her extended family at River Oaks apartment in Hartland, WI.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Karen (David) Krause of Hartland WI; her daughter in-law, Barbara Gulbrandsen (O'Neill) of New London, WI; her 6 grandsons, Eric (Tara) Gulbrandsen of Omro, WI, Jeff (Becky) Gulbrandsen of New London, WI, Ryan (Courtney) Gulbrandsen of New London, WI, Jim (Keriann) Krause of Wind Lake, WI, Tom (Dana) Krause of Neenah, WI, and Dan Krause of Sussex, WI; her great grandchildren, Tristin and Kayla Gulbrandsen, Mason Gulbrandsen, and Eliza Krause. She is also survived by her Sister in Laws, Ruth Heinz of Green Bay, WI and Rose Gulbrandsen of Leesburg, Florida. Lillian's nieces, Karyle Heinz of Gillett, WI, Jean Batzer of Pulaski, WI, Kay Sanders of Iola, WI and Monica Heinz of Green Bay, WI. Lillian's nephews, Wayne Sommerfeld of Gillett, Wi, Kevin Phannes of Medford, NJ, Michael Phannes, Thomas Gulbrandsen of Crown Point, IN and Jeffrey Gulbrandsen of Tampa, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Art; her son, Robert Gulbrandsen; her sister Marie "Toots" Sommerfeld; her brothers, William "Hans" Heinz, and Arthur "Sonny" Heinz.

Friends may call from 10:00am until 11:30am on Saturday November 3, 2018 at St. John's Riverside Lutheran Church, 5686 State Highway 32 S, Gillett, WI. A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, at the church with Rev. James Athey officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Riverside cemetery.
