Leonard Ray Chilcote was a loving father and grandfather. He passed away Oct. 19, 2013, in his home after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tracie Lynn Wright, Green Bay, and Catherine Marie Johnson Killeen, TX; two grandsons, Devin Michael Locke, Iron River, MI, and Jonathan Randal Grant Johnson Killeen, TX; four granddaughters, starting with the oldest, Victoria Ann Struckman, Killeen, TX; Destiny May Johnson Killeen, TX; Randi Nicole Johnson Killeen, TX; and Paige Mackenzie Augustine (Green Bay). He is further survived by his step-mother, Rosa Chilcote Thornton, New Mexico; and several cousins who have grown to be as close as brothers, Raymond (Cathy) Zimmerman, Shawn Hughes, and Pete Hughes all of New Mexico.
Leonard was a happy go lucky man; he loved his family and working outside in his garage. He also loved to go and cheer on the local hockey team the Green Bay gamblers. Leonard was probably the loudest person in the stands due to his double ended bell he made to cheer the team on. Leonard proudly served in the military from 1976 to 1981. While serving in the armed forces he was a tank mechanic.
Leonard had a strange sense of humor, but was a much liked man and always left an impression wherever he was. Leonard had a long hard life, however, he made the best of every situation. He was strong in every way and that is what he will be remembered for. Rest in Peace Daddy.
