Leonard F. Hoberg, 89, Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 14, 2013. He was born September 27, 1923, in Green Bay, to the late William and Katherine Hoberg. Leonard was a lifelong resident of Green Bay and graduated from Central High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Leonard retired from P&G paper mill after 35 years. He was an avid duck hunter and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his 3 children: Debra (Marc) Luther and their children Olivia, Austin, and Claudia; Randall (Christine) Kolb and their children Aaron and Ethan; and Craig (Collette Busse) Kolb and his children, Lauren and Tristan; sister-in-law, Beatrice Hoberg and her children, William Hoberg and Patricia Silberman.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Hoberg; and Irene S. Kolb.
Family and friends may call Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave. Green Bay, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 18, 2013 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 139 S. Madison St. Green Bay, from Noon until 12:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Friday at 1:00pm with Rev. John Girotti officating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
