Lawrence "Larry" R. Brice, age 78, of Ashwaubenon, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born April 7, 1938, to the late Ralph and Mildred (Young) Brice in Green Bay, WI.
Larry enlisted in the US Army and honorably served his country as Staff Sergeant. Lawrence was united in marriage to Claudia "Snookie" Allen, June 10, 1961 in Maywood, California. Larry and Snookie returned to Green Bay in 1963, where they started their family and eventually settled in Ashwaubenon. Larry and Snookie owned/operated Broadway and Babcock Liquor in Ashwaubenon for many years. He was a man of faith and was member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish.
Larry was a hard-working, loyal husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend to so many, especially Wayne (Judy) Schaut. Larry was patient, kind, humble, and generous. He loved to entertain family and friends, fish, camp, and travel. His kindness and generosity were well known and his home was a welcome place for anyone in need of refuge or support. His daughters fondly remember their daddy as their rock and their best friend. Time spent with his family was most precious to Larry. His trademark laugh could always be heard throughout any room.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Dalyn (Tony) Krysiak, Combined Locks, WI, and Mindy Brice, Hobart, WI; 5 grandchildren: Ashton (Chris) Van Vreede, Kyle Cavil, Colten, and Brady Christensen, and Parris Brice; 3 great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Kennedy, and Briar and a brother, John "Jackson" (Ruth) Brice.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Claudia "Snookie"; his parents, Ralph & Mildred (Young) Brice and his brothers, James "Jim" (Adella) Brice, and Bernard "Bernie" (Muriel) Brice.
A Visitation will be held at NATIVITY OF OUR LORD PARISH (2270 S. Oneida St., Green Bay), Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 9 AM to 12:15 PM.
